On January 23, a China-Europe (Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe) freight train, loaded with 100 TEU of goods, started from the Changchun Xinglong Railway Port. This is the first China-Europe freight train after the Spring Festival for the Year of the Rabbit.
"The goods exported include textiles, glass and auto parts, with the total value of about RMB 80 million," said Dai Wei, General Manager of Changchun International Land Port Development Co., Ltd., which operates this route. In order to meet the export enterprises' demand on  carriage, the China-Europe freight trains will not stop the service during the Spring Festival holiday.
"During the Spring Festival holiday, the German side had already reached an agreement with us on cooperation. Next, the parquet that the Company produces will also be transported to Germany through the China-Europe (Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe) freight train." At the departure site, Wang Kai, Manager of the trade department of Changchun Delin Wood Co., Ltd., said to  the reporter: "Xinglong Railway Port is less than 200 m away from our enterprise, and the unique advantage allows us to enjoy the convenient transport conditions of 'getting on board just after going out', and the transit costs can be greatly reduced." It is also learnt that the annual export of Delin Wood has reached 1.663 million m², with a value of about RMB 250 million, and the products are exported and sold to more than a dozen countries and regions.
According to the introduction, since the beginning of 2023, 6 China-Europe freight trains have been operated. Under the support of Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Changchun Xinglong Customs, Changchun Freight Center of China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and other relevant ministries and companies, the enterprises have reduced the number of times of customs declaration as well as the transport costs, and the export goods have arrived in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and other countries and regions. Turning the foreign trade orders into real income, enterprises have gained much confidence in development in the new year.
Since its opening, the China-Europe (Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe) freight trains have carried and transported about 62,000 TEU of imported and exported goods, and the annual average number of the trains has been maintained at about 150. The Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe International Rail Freight Line has become a stable public rail line connecting Northeast China with the hinterland of Europe, as well as the China-Europe Railway Express route carrying the largest volume of import of vehicles.
