During the past Spring Festival holiday, Jinlin Province's tourism market was quite hot overall because of the rich product supply. According to the statistics of the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it is estimated that during the Spring Festival holiday in 2023, the province received 11.5467 million visits of the domestic tourists, up by 23.61% year on year, which is 0.51 percentage higher than the increase rate for the whole country; and the province achieved a domestic tourism revenue of RMB 11.178 billion, up by 33.31% year on year, which is 3.31 percentage higher than the increase rate for the whole country.
According to the statistics of Hornet's Nest Big Data, the Changbai Mountain and Yanji City in our province rank among the top 10 popular niche destinations for the Spring Festival holiday, with the Changbai Mountain topping the list. The Changbai Mountain's rich ice and snow products such as rime rafting, snowmobiles, ice fishing, skiing, hot springs and hunting were popular among mass consumers. On the third day of the Lunar New Year, Changbai Mountain scenic spot was particularly popular, ushering in a tourism peak during the Spring Festival holiday.
Skiing in Jilin for the New Year has been popular among many visitors. According to the data of Tujia B&B, during the Spring Festival holiday, the booking for the B&B near the outdoor snow park was hot, of which the booking in our province had increased by 16 times compared to that in 2019, and it now ranks top among the hot destinations for the skiing and B&B in the Spring Festival holiday. In the province, the major skiing resorts were well prepared for the Spring Festival holiday. The Vanke Songhua Lake Resort in Jilin City held activities such as non-traditional cultural shows, yangko (a popular rural folk dance) in the snowy mountainous area, lion dance for national tide and other activities during the Spring Festival holiday; the Tianding Mountain in Changchun offered discounted admission tickets and continuously held the exciting activities to create a warm and festive Spring Festival atmosphere.
Not long ago, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the "Good scenery of countryside in four seasons - Auspicious snow and red plum · Happy New Year" national rural tourism boutique routes. In total, 7 routes in our province were selected. They have comprehensively displayed the rich ice and snow tourism resource in our province and special ice and snow products from around the province, attracting visitors to come and experience them.
In addition, various New Year activities and New Year benefits have been introduced all over the province. For example, Changchun Lianhua Island Film and Television Leisure and Culture Park has held the Ice and Snow Year Custom and Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival, and it offered discounted admission tickets and launched other preferential activities; the Changbai Mountain Hunting Resort in Lushuihe Town has launched combination of different preferential activities such as New Year's Eve dinner, accommodation and rafting.
